New Features and Improvements

  • Website Designer 3.0: Live Preview button added to the website banner and footer designer

Website Designer 3.0 - Live Preview button added to website banner and footer designer

You will now see a live preview button within the website banner and footer designer, which will open a live preview of your website in a new window. Whereas the working preview on the banner and footer designer page does show you a representation of your banner, the live preview shows you a truer reflection of how your banner and footer will look like. This is especially helpful when clubs are using their own custom CSS stylesheets.

ClubRunner 3.0 - Introducing Email Statistics! Track email deliverability, open rates and even view which emails have bounced, been blocked or marked as spam

You asked for it, and we delivered! We're excited to introduce email statistics reports, which will allow you to better track email and bulletin deliverability, view which emails have been read and by whom, trace emails and bulletins that have bounced or been blocked and view which emails/bulletins have been marked as spam. To view email statistics for your club, navigate to the Email Message Center from the Admin page and then click on the Email Traffic Report link on the top menu bar. You'll immediately be able to view your email usage to date with a breakdown showing you how many emails you have this sent this year, within the past 30 days and what your club's monthly average is like. Click on the details link under the Actions column to view the types of emails (ie: Bulletin, Event Registration emails, Volunteer Registration emails, etc) that have been sent, the subject line, who the sender is, the date it was sent on, and even select a date range to customize your email traffic report. Click on the emails sent number to dive deeper and view how many emails were successfully delivered, how many were opened and by whom, which have bounced, etc.

ClubRunner 3.0 - Club name on the footer of all emails is now hyperlinked to Club site

Every email sent from your club or district account always has a system generated footer that reads that the email was generated by ClubRunner on behalf of the club, followed by an unsubscribe option. To increase traffic and visibility for your website, we've now hyperlinked the club name so that it links directly to your website.

ClubRunner 3.0 - Members terminated from member list are now automatically removed from any positions they may be defined under on the District website

When you terminate members, they now will automatically be removed from any positions they may be defined under on the District website, similar to how they are automatically removed from all executive lists on the club level. This includes being removed from the District Org Chart and District Committees.

ClubRunner 3.0 - New filter added to Member Designations to allow you to view members in the Active, Other or Inactive member list

You now have the ability to filter by active, others users and inactive users within the Member Designations screen so as to make it easier to edit member designations based on member type.

Bulletin 3.0 - Updates made to the image alignment logic to ensure images are always aligned next to text. Updates also made to the preview window to accurately reflect live bulletin preview.

Further improvements have been made to the logic behind image alignment in the bulletin module to improve the overall look of the bulletin, when alignment properties have not been added. When you insert images into your bulletin and don't set the alignment to display images on either the left, right or middle of the newsletter, the system will automatically left align all images. This was done to address instances where images were left floating, and the text became scattered around the image rather than aligned to it in email clients,when the bulletin was sent. As part of this release, we've also made updates to the preview window of the bulletin to accuraretly reflect how the bulletin will look within email clients. This will display the true alignment of images next to the text, as well as the formatting of widgets.

Based on the most commonly used layouts, we also created several template options which we recommend you use when creating content with images and text together. You can select from templates such as the "image left, article right; article left, image right; or even the article and image in center (for when you want images to be center-aligned)".

Volunteers 3.0 - Visual changes made to Volunteer sign-up sheets

Visual enhancements have been made to the sign-up sheets in the Volunteers module to make the pages more visually appealing and more compact.

Volunteers 3.0 - Relaxed email requirements for guest sign-ups

Based on your feedback, the email field for guest signups within the Volunteers module is no longer a required field, and guests can signup to volunteer for events without supplying their email address. Please note that in such instances, they will not receive a confirmation email nor any information about their participation.

Attendance 3.0 - Ability to add multiple make-ups and exempted members

You now have the ability to add multiple make-ups to your attendance using the Attendance 3.0 module. To do so, navigate to Attendance 3.0 (currently in Early Access Preview), and open a meeting from the Meetings screen. You will find the "Add Multiple Makeups" button under the Makeups tab from where you will be able to select the members you are adding the makeup for. At the same time, you are now also able to add multiple exempted members to your exempted members list. To do this, navigate to the Attendance Rules/Settings page and then click on the members tab next to Exempted members. You will then be able to select which members to apply this status for.

District Version 3.0 - New filter added under club types to display clubs in Grants module

District Site Administrators are now able to control which club types show in the Grants module. To do so, navigate to the Membership tab on the top menu bar and then on to the "Manage Club Types" link. You will notice a new column titled "Show in Grants". To select which club types appear here, simply click on the edit link and then either select or deselect this option. Therefore, if you wish to remove Rotaract clubs from showing up in Grants, simply deselect the option from this screen.

Zone Version 3.0 - New Zone Directory introduced with contact view of all District Governors

We've now added a new zone directory to the zone version of ClubRunner that gives a contact view of all the District Governors for all the districts within the zone. View a full directory, directory of DG's/year and by district with the option to export your report to Excel.

Fixes and Other Changes
v3.2014.11.13

  • Website Designer 3.0: Fixed issue where users were not able to scroll down a page when trying to drag a widget to place it in a certain spot.
  • ClubRunner 3.0: Improvements have been made to the speed within the Edit Executives and Directors page, so you are able to add executives as well as modify and remove your list faster, prior to publishing it on the homepage.
  • ClubRunner 3.0: A few customers reported that upon logging out of the website, they could still access member-only files during that session. This has now been addressed.
  • Attendance 3.0: Fixed issue where auto-assign functionality did not validate if meeting had already been attended by member; as well as rectified issues were auto-assign was not assigning meetings to future dates
  • Volunteers 3.0: Addressed issue where members with access level 70 were able to send emails within the Volunteers module
  • District Version 3.0: Fixed issue where districts encountered an error when deleting a club
  • District Version 3.0: The District Events calendar now displays only standard club events. If clubs create custom event types and selects the option to display the event within the District Calendar, it will not appear. Please note, that in the next service updates release, we will further address this to give the district more options as to the types of events that should be displayed on their calendar.
  • District Grants: Previously, when you hovered over amounts within the Grants module, the currency displayed was always US. This has been addressed and will now always display correct currency based on your choice.
  • Dues and Billing: Rectified error where ex-members still showed in the Account Statements list when option to not display them was selected. As a reminder, ex-members will always display on the Account Statements page, if there is a balance associated with their account.
