Fixes and Other Changes

Bulletin Wizard: We recently launched an all-new Bulletin Designer, currently available in beta. Updates are constantly being made to this new feature based on the feedback we receive from our customers. The following is a list of a few items that we addressed:

  • When editing stories or adding a new story into your bulletin, the 'save and exit' button on the top of the 'edit story' page will now save the story to your bulletin. Previously, customers would need to click on the 'save' button on the bottom of the page to first save the story, and then on the exit button.
  • When formatting the title of a story, an editor window used to appear as a popup allowing you to edit and style your story title. Due to popular demand, we've replaced the popup window with an inline editor, which means, a mini version of the toolbar will appear directly above the title field.
  • Within the bulletin properties page, Districts were seeing an option regarding displaying commitments. As this is a feature meant for clubs only (Club Version), it has been removed from this page.

Bulletin Designer 3.0: Upon archiving a bulletin, if the banner used in that copy was changed, it affected the archived edition of the newsletter; this has been fixed.

Bulletin Designer 3.0: The banner list page was displaying banner images that looked a little different than the original; this has been addressed.

Website Designer 3.0: When changing the font of a widget within a custom page, the title of the page would also update with that font; this has been fixed so that the page title is not affected.

Email Service: We've updated the logic of the distribution lists within the email service (email message center and the bulletin), such that emails cannot be sent to any address where the profile is under the 'Ex-Honorary' deceased group. The system has always prevented emails from being sent to profiles marked as deceased under all other member types.

Email Service: Updates were made to improve the performance of the email queuing system.

Membership Manager: When terminating a member, there is an option available to not notify RI about the termination. If you choose not to notify RI about the termination via the automatic RI sync feature (by checking off this option), you can terminate a member with any date on or after their join date. As a result, Rotary will need to be manually notified so the member can be terminated on their end as well.

Dues and Billing: For our International customers that were using PayPal Standard for their dues, we found that that the confirmation email once members pay was not being received; this has been fixed.

RI Integration: Members marked as RI Duplicate in the member list were showing up on the RI Compare & Sync page under 'Member Type Mismatched at RI' section; this has been addressed such that the duplicate records will no longer be displayed.

RI Integration: When on the district site, there were a few clubs that found that the Integration option was not displaying their true status (i.e.: integrated vs. opted out); this has been addressed.

MyEventRunner: Updates were made to the UI of the registration page to handle details with a large character count (ex: name fields).

District Access Rights: We slightly altered the name of two access levels on the District Version to clarify what they give access to:

  • District Bulletin has been renamed to District Communication - Email All Members
  • District Communication now reads as District Communication - Email Executives Only

District Version - Committees: When carrying over committees from one year the next, the committees and its incumbents were not being brought over; this has been fixed.
