Version 3.0 Website Designer - Help Tour Guide

This new interactive tour is available through the 'Edit Content' section within Website Designer 3.0. An easy way to learn more about the Website Designer, this tour covers each section and goes over every element found in the Designer screen. It starts off by covering general items such as how to change the website layout, banner and footer. It moves on cover how to update widgets, the options available to you, and more. Finally the tour concludes by going over how to view your changes and then publish them. You have the option to open the tour at any time, by clicking on the "Start Tour" button.

Version 3.0 Website Content - Social Media Share Buttons

A popular request, we've added the ability to share your website content on various social media channels through share buttons. A social share toolbar will appear at the bottom of selected website pages, allowing visitors to share the content on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google +, Blogger, Pinterest or via email. The social share toolbar appears on the following pages:

  • Story Pages
  • Event Details Page
  • Speaker Details Page
  • Site Page
  • News Detail Page
  • Photo Album Page

Upon adding a new entry to your site, you will notice the social share toolbar appear. To add it to existing pages, you simply need to republish them.

Version 3.0 Website Content - New Layout Options

New layout template options are available to choose from for both your website and custom pages! New options include options such as "Full Width above and Equal Left & Right, Narrow Left and Wide Right above Full Width, and many more. To view the options available, simply click on the "Content Template" button from the designer screen.

Version 3.0 Bulletin - Ability to Customize Plain Text Version

As part of email best practices, ClubRunner always sends a text version of your bulletin for email clients that cannot render the HTML email. We've now introduced the ability to customize the content in the text version of your bulletins. You will notice a link titled "Text Version" on the top right of your bulletin editor to be able to create and edit text versions of your bulletin. Version 3.0 Bulletin - Theme/Layout Selection

Based on your feedback, we've made it easier to be able to select a new theme and layout for your bulletins. New buttons titled "Change Theme" and "Change Template" have been added to the Bulletin Editor screen on the top right. District Grants - Documents Library We've introduced a new library section to store internal documents such as Financial plans, Grant policies, etc. Only members with Grant Administrator access will be able to manage documents in this library, however all other users will be able to view and download them.

Version 3.0 Bulletin - Line Separators

Similar the design option found in the Home Page Stories widget, which allows for the addition as well as customization of line separators to separate stories from one another, an option has been added in the Properties screen for the Bulletin Stories Widget as well. Here, you will be able to customize the line style, thickness and colour. Version 3.0 Bulletin - Bulletin Stories Content Settings To customize the bulletin further, Bulletin Editors now have the ability to choose whether they wish to display a "Read More" link, the thumbnail image, brief and content on the bulletin. Upon navigating to the Properties Screen, you will now see more options under the Content Properties section, whereby Bulletin Editors will be able to choose the items they wish to display and can simply check or uncheck the options.

Version 3.0 Bulletin - Bulletin Groups

You now have the option to create up to 5 different bulletin groups and can customize whether you would like the group to be visible on your website, whether you would like to have the group open to the public or whether you require group members to login to view the bulletins associated with the group, as well as how many bulletins you would like to display in the group. Additionally, you even have the ability to customize the bulletin greeting for each group.

District Grants - Document Library

We've introduced a new library section to store internal documents such as Financial plans, Grant policies, etc. Only members with Grant Administrator access will be able to manage documents in this library, however all other users will be able to view and download them.

Fixes and Other Changes

  • Website Designer 3.0 - Clickable logos included inside Banners now resolve correctly when the Wide Theme is selected.
  • eDirectory Reports 2.0 - Fixed the issue when editing reports that include quotation marks in the Prefix or Postfix fields.
  • District Version 3 - Fixed the issue with the Photo Organization Chart screen not rendering correctly in some browsers.
  • District Version 3 - Fixed the issue with member’s designations not displaying in the Photo Organization Chart screens.
  • District Version 3 - Fixed an issue with Member Login Activity report not reporting correct counts.
  • Events 2.0 - Fixed an issue with events that include HTML tags in the title name not displaying correctly in the registration page as well as in confirmation emails.
  • Website Content 3.0 - Changed the logic of information included in Bulletin Speakers and Bulletin Upcoming Events widgets.   Because they are individual widgets they do not update when speakers/events are changed.
  • eBulletin 3.0 - Updates to text content on scheduled confirmation messages.
  • ClubRunner Version 3.0 - Schedule time validates time/date to be in future for emails and bulletins.
  • ClubRunner Version 3.0 – Auto-save functionality for email communication – improvements to auto-save timing.
